“Adopt a Rock” Fundraiser

The Carleton Place Curling Club will be celebrating its 25th anniversary at its current location in
2019. While a significant milestone this means that the facility is aging and maintenance and
upgrade costs are rising. In particular the lighting on the ice surface needs to be upgraded to
replace the existing fluorescent bulbs with energy efficient LED panels. The expected cost is
between $12,000 and $14,000!

Fundraiser for new lights: To help pay for this upgrade CPCC is pleased to offer local
businesses and residents the opportunity to “adopt” a curling rock by sponsoring an engraving
in the rock handle of your choice.

For just $225 per rock you get the following:
• Up to 4 lines of 20 characters each
• Minimum 5 years (if the rock handle breaks within this time it will be re-engraved at no
charge)
• Choice of rock colour, number and sheet (subject to availability)
• Guaranteed rock will be viewed more than 2,500 times!
• A picture of your new rock once engraved
